Born to Nigerian parents in Edmonton, Lizzy started exploring the outdoors more after moving to Vancouver in 2013. Since then, she’s fallen in love with skiing and trail running and has an on-again/off-again relationship with hiking. Having never seen the ocean before age 16, Lizzy is now making up for lost time by trying kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding.
Though she loves the beautiful views that adventuring in BC brings, her ultimate joy is found in conversations, movement, and connecting with people in the outdoors. As someone who knows what it feels like to learn new hobbies and sports as an adult, she has a soft spot for those doing the same. That’s why she participated in CTT’s trail running mentorship program—first as a mentee, then as a mentor for the last two years. She is committed to providing safe, fun, and accessible spaces for people to learn and grow. Nothing beats seeing someone’s face when they accomplish something that they never thought they could!
