**The date for this event has changed to October 27th due to weather conditions. Please check your emails from Oct 16th onwards regarding updates if you had already registered.**

Close out the hiking season with us as we journey to the top of St. Mark’s Summit where we’ll enjoy stunning views of the Howe Sound. This intermediate hike is 10km long with approximately 570m of elevation gain, and takes an average of 3h45min to complete. All participants should have some experience doing hikes with moderate (200m+) elevation gain.

** Please note that though there will be at least one CTT staff member present, there will be no guides at this event. All participants are hiking at their own risk and discretion.

What to bring:

  • Hiking boots (terrain will likely be muddy, with roots and rocks)
  • Hiking poles (optional)
  • Sweat-wicking athletic clothing you can move in
  • Layers— your temperature may fluctuate throughout the hike, so having a fleece or warm long sleeve over your base layer, then a jacket on top is a good idea
  • Rain jacket
  • Toque
  • Gloves
  • Snacks and/or lunch
  • Water
  • Small backpack or bag to carry your water, food, and layers while hiking

Transportation

All participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the event. Prior to the event, we will send out a carpooling sheet for participants  to arrange carpooling. So please add [email protected] to your safe sender list. You can also arrange carpooling or sharing an EVO with others in our Facebook group.

Important:

Don’t forget to add [email protected] to your safe sender list. We will contact you with further information about the event, like our meeting location and if the email ends up in your spam folder you may miss important information. If a waitlist spot opens up there will be a deadline to accept that you won’t want to miss. Thank you!
