FAQ
Is Colour the Trails a non-profit?
Colour the Trails is a registered business. We are a socially-conscious business rooted in collective community wellbeing. Rather than limiting our growth, we operate a business model that focuses on social change and sharing our success with our local and global communities.
How does Colour the Trails membership work?
Members pay a small monthly fee of $12 CAD. This fee supports our programming and the growth of our community! Members receive priority event registration and access to members-only events as well as discounts with our partners. Learn more about our memberships.
Do I have to be a member to attend an event?
No, non-members are also welcome! We do offer members priority registration but once an event is open to the public non-members are welcome to register. Visit our events page to check out our upcoming events!
Are the memberships only for BIPoC?
Our goal is to create a community that supports and celebrates BIPoC through shared knowledge and leadership so our membership services are designed to provide accessibility to BIPoC who are curious about nature and new activities. We also value our allies and know that together we can create a more inclusive outdoor community.
Our monthly membership for allies is a way to offer ways to support BIPoC initiatives that prioritise equitable practices in the outdoors and workplace, and education on ways you can be a better ally!
Can I attend an event as an Ally?
We encourage allies to work with us to create a more inclusive community, however we want to ensure our events remain accessible for BIPoC and 2SLGBTQIA+. Therefore, we ask that you wait to register until we open up the event to allies. We will post on our social media accounts when an event is open for ally registration.
Do I need previous experience to try an activity?
Nope! We offer a variety of programming, but most events are suitable for complete beginners. Each event will provide information about what experience—if any—is required.

How can I partner with Colour the Trails?
We are seeking community investors who are committed to seeing change happen through long-term support.
We believe change comes through long term support, not a single sponsored event or promotion. We are looking for multi-year partnerships that we believe will better support our growing initiatives and promote change.
