Event Details

At this time, we ask our allies to please let BIPOC folks register for this event. We may open this event to allies at a later date. Thank you!

Set out on the calm waters of the evening for a sea kayaking night tour! Get a unique perspective of the evening sky while you paddle out into the Arm at dusk. With very little traffic or boat noise on the water, you’ll enjoy a serene 2.5 hour tour of Say Nuth Khaw Yum / Indian Arm. Deep Cove Kayak’s knowledgeable tour guides will give you a detailed background about the area and its history, and information about both sea and land wildlife that inhabits the area.

• Paddling experience preferred – this is not an intro session

• Professional guides cover basics of kayaking

• And much more! This tour is at a low-intensity pace. The guide will keep the group together for everyone’s safety, which may, at times, mean traveling at a slower pace.

Date: Saturday, August 6

Location: Deep Cove Kayak – 2156 Banbury Road, North Vancouver, BC

We acknowledge that we will kayak and connect on the unceded territory and traditional waters of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

Time: Tour begins promptly at 8pm and goes until 10:30pm. Please arrive by 7:15pm.

Plan to arrive no less than 45 minutes before your lesson as parking in Deep Cove is free but limited. Please try to car pool, cycle or take public transport, as parking is limited.
