This year you have the option of continuing your skills throughout the winter with our amazing instructor Isabel.

Please read carefully prior to making your selection

Intro – January 13: RESCHEDULED TO JAN 20 OR 27, WEATHER DEPENDENT.

Will cover striding, gliding and turning on easy terrain. Skill-building activities and plenty of practice will help you become comfortable moving on skis.

Basic Hills – February 11:

Will help you gain confidence in cross-country skiing on hilly trails this season. Join us on rolling terrain in Kananaskis and learn how to move uphill, turn, glide downhill and slow down. Prerequisite: Beginner Cross-Country Ski Lesson or equivalent experience.

Skill Builder – March 2:

Will review and improve your diagonal stride, double poling skills and introduce one-step double pole. We will also work on downhill technique and learn how to keep your speed up on varied terrain. Prerequisite: Beginner Cross-Country Ski Lesson + Basic Hills or equivalent experience.

Cost:

Rentals Included, but if you have your own gear, please bring them.

$95 per one of the lessons

$ 160 for Intro (Jan 13) + Basic Hills (Feb 11) or Basic Hills (Feb 11) + Skill builder (Mar 2)

$ 230 for Intro (Jan 13) + Basic Hills (Feb 11) + Skill builder (Mar 2)

Not included: parking fee in Kananaskis (Carpooling highly recommended to cut on cost)

Vehicles parked at the provincial park and public land sites in Kananaskis Country and the Bow Valley need a Conservation Pass.

Buy your pass online and register your license plate. Passes can also be purchased in-person or by using Wi-Fi at Kananaskis Visitor Information Centers (Barrier, Elbow and Peter Lougheed) and the Canmore Nordic Centre Day Lodge.
