Event Details

This event is an introduction to kayaking. Join us for a beginner’s paddling experience that will emphasize skill learning and safety whilst on the water. No previous experience is required.

 

It is taking place in Deep Cove, rain or shine. Due to Covid restrictions, we cannot organize carpooling. You will need to organize your own drive or commute.

About this Event

The following gear will be provided: paddle, life-jacket, and a spray skirt. On the day, dress for the weather in clothes that will be comfortable for activity/getting wet.

Recommended:

  • Secure wet footwear, if you don’t have booties or water-shoes then wear something like running shoes that you don’t mind getting wet.
  • A non-cotton toque if it’s chilly, or brimmed hat if it’s sunny.
  • Sunscreen.
  • Water bottle and snacks.
  • Towel, and a change of clothes for after your paddle in case you get wet.
