Event Details

We would like to acknowledge that this program will take place on land that is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and that is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.

If you’re interested in connecting to birds and nature, learning about bird identification, and meeting up with the Colour the Trails community, then this event is for you! This Father’s Day morning, come explore Tommy Thompson park with your family in this interactive birding workshop & hike!

We’re excited to once again have Joanne Brathwaite of the Toronto Ornithological Club leading our birdwatching event. She’s a Black woman in the Toronto birding community who loves photographing birds and talking about birds! She will be leading us on a hike in Tommy Thompson to put our birdwatching skill to the test! This program is in partnership with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) + TD Friends of the Environment Foundation.

No experience required, beginner friendly

Binoculars and bird ID Field Guides will be provided.
