Anicha’s (she/her) passion for the outdoors has had an important role in her life Born in Comoros and raised in Canada’s Montreal (Tiohtia:ke), she always loved outdoor activities – in particular, snowboarding and hiking. However, in these spaces, she often felt like the odd one out given that there were not many people that shared her resemblance.
It is known that there is a lack in inclusion when it comes to participation in outdoor spaces – and through becoming a chapter lead with Colour the Trails, Anicha hopes to continue to break the barriers through representation, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment filled with a community of like-minded individuals and making trying new things fun & less intimidating.
